Wedgwood Jasperware Creamer & Sugar, Rare Color Combination, Wedgwood Only
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful early Wedgwood Jasperware lidded sugar and creamer in rare color combination of brownish-olive and blue, marked "Wedgwood" only. This unusual creamer and sugar has nice lines and unusual color combination - one that I have never seen before in 40 years of being in the antiques business. The brownish-olive background color contrasts nicely with the deep blue slip leaf garland decoration. The exterior of each piece is the usual matte finish found on all Jasperware items, however, the interior is lightly glazed.
Sugar measures 3 3/4" high, 5 7/8" wide (including handles) with a 3 1/2" diameter top and 2 3/4" diameter base. Creamer measures 2 3/4" high (at handle), 2 1/4" high (at body), 6 1/8" wide (handle to spout) with a 2 3/8" diameter base. Combined weight is 1.4 pounds. Both pieces are in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Both are marked "Wedgwood" only with possible date stamps which are illegible.
